Is it possible to turn a watercolour painting into digital art?

I painted this:

But is it possible to turn it into something like this:

And how would you go about doing it?Is it possible to turn a watercolour painting into digital art?
Sure you can! It will be more difficult to do it traditionally than digitally but it can be done. Fist off I would say decide on your main light source. At the moment it seems as if you are undecided where the light is coming from. You have a clear blue sky in the background which would make me think that the light is coming from that direction. So every thing that is closest to the sky like the cave floor, the right side of your green ball and the stalactites should all have light shining on them from the right side. And everything that is blocked from view from the sun should be slightly darker.

When I do this I usually go dark to light, shading to highlights. This is just they way I have found to be easiest for me.

Once you have a solid lighting source everything will start to fall into place from there. The harder objects to do this with will be the stalagmites, the green ball base, and the green ball. the will only be harder because they are more cylindrical. Try going to Deviantart.com and type in ';shading cones'; and ';spheres';. Plenty of resources should come up to help you really get those shapes perfect. =)

haha hope this helps.
