Does this dog digital painting look any good?

First digital painting. It's an Australian Cattle Dog. I'm 15 years old, and have been drawing dogs for almost a year.

Does it look okay, and what could I do to improve?

Please be gentle. That doesn't mean you can't critique, but don't just jump into what's wrong with it.

I really don't want to get discouraged, and it's easy for me to.

And yes, it is kind of a concept art of Ellis from L4D2 as a dog. It's a long story.Does this dog digital painting look any good?
I think you did quite well with the digital drawing.

I think the most important thing you should improve on here is the fur. Here, your fur has clearly been blended or blurred. And even though it takes a lot of time and concentration (especially when using a mouse), the end results will be absolutely amazing. I took the time to find a fur tutorial for you and found this might be helpful for you.

If not, you can browse a whole selection of tutorials here

and search for the right tutorial to your heart's content.

If you're in need of any other help or would like some critiques on anything else you can note me at my account on DA (http://neocoolstar.deviantart.com/) and I can probably get you in touch with other people I'm acquainted with who are better at this sort of thing than me.

I wish you luck in your endeavors! I hope to see you improve a lot :DDoes this dog digital painting look any good?
I think it's an amazing picture, except for the hat, the hat makes it kinda corny but it's really good :D

Good job %26amp;%26amp; keep up the great work!
